Election Day!!! Blog 1
Tonight at the Morton casa there will be an election party, non-partisan, as we try and come together after a tough and bitter election.
Well,
Tonight is the night. I for one will be happy to be past election stuff. I am an absolute politcal junkie. When I was 8 I used to pretend to be a U.S. Senator! I watched practically every minute of campaign coverage in 1980, as a ten year old. I love politics...but I am glad to be done with this. Lets move on towards talking about even more important stuff (theology) in the future.
So, tonight I will be live-blogging from my casa to your P.C. We are having a party, three televisions in our small townhome, lots of beer, pizza, coffee, and maps to be colored in. I will be focusing on the local elctions as well as Bush vs. Kerry. Big local races to be covered…
Coors vs. Salazar - big turnout in Colorado Springs today could bring Coors across the line.
Merrifield vs. Lambert - an important race for control of the State House. Merrifield is the lone Democrat in the county of El Paso.
Amendment 36 - Don’t split our electrol votes. Best campaign name ever...Coloradoans against a really stupid idea.
Amendment 37 - Mandate use of alternative energy. Love the idea but they added in a max increase on residnetial customers of only .50/mo. Bad for businesses.
Starting tommorow (assuming we have a president), roving theologian will finally start writing more theological content. First thing off, a review and discussion on the movie What the Bleep.
So...stay tuned. Vegetarian pro-labor Christians for Bush
